Security and Safe Use
Temporary email improves privacy for low-risk sign-ups, but users still need to understand message, attachment and account recovery risks.
Temporary inbox limits
Messages are intended for short-term use and should not be treated as secure long-term storage. Do not use temporary email for accounts where losing access would matter.
HTML email controls
HTML messages are displayed with restrictions to reduce script execution and tracking risk. Remote content, links and embedded resources should still be treated carefully.
Attachment risks
Attachments may contain malware, phishing payloads or tracking files. Open files only when you trust the sender and understand the risk. Important documents should go to a real mailbox.
Access and privacy
A temporary address can receive messages from anyone who knows it. Use a new address when a task is complete, and avoid receiving secrets, financial data or identity documents.
Infrastructure controls
The service uses short mailbox lifetimes, request limits, abuse monitoring and controlled attachment endpoints to reduce harm while keeping the inbox easy to use.
